Ariyan Bighashdel is a full-time PhD candidate at the VCA group at the Eindhoven University of Technology, currently working on the PRYSTINE project. His research focuses on tracking and prediction of Vulnerable Road Users (VRUs).  
Ariyan graduated with a BSc degree in Aerospace Engineering from Science and Research University, Iran, in 2011. He took the Iran's national entrance exam for postgraduate studies in 2014 and was ranked 10th among thousands of participants. He joined Sharif University of technology, the most prestigious university in Iran, in 2014 and continued his research on flight Dynamics and control. His master's thesis focused on experimental dynamic modeling of flapping aerial vehicles (FAVs). His areas of interest are Dynamic modeling and control.
